Austin / Morris 1100,1300 Introduced in 1962, first in Morris guise and in 1963 with Austin badging, these all tended to be referred to as Morris 1100. Following the mechanical layout of the Mini, but with a more spacious cabin, they were fitted with Hydrolastic suspension from the outset, disc front brakes and sealed cooling system. Available in four door and two door saloon for export. De luxe and super de luxe options.
From 1965, heater is standardised, on de luxe model. Auto option from end of 1965. Two door Countryman estate from spring 1966.
MkII from 1967 had better brakes, revised interiors, different grilles, smaller rear fins with new tail lights. All synchro box from mid 1968.
MkIII from 1971 was face lifted with new matt black grille, different badging and revised interiors. Estate no longer available. Replaced by Allegro in 1974.
1300 MkII from 1967 launched simultaneously with 1100 MkII (no 1300 MkIs) has 58bhp 1275 cc engine, and 92 mph top speed. Revisions as 1100, and facelifted MkIII in 1971.
1300GT made 1969-1974 had twin SU carbs and 70 bhp giving 93 mph. Matt black grille, spoked wheel trims, side flash, different badging and revised interior.

MG1100 / 1300Launched in 1962, shortly after Morris version, with twin carb 1098cc engine giving 55 bhp and 85 mph top speed. Also has remote gear shift and imitation wood faced dash, with strip speedo. Seats are better trimmed, and reclining option from early 1966. Single SU 1275 engine for last few months before 1300 is officially launched.
MkII from 1967 has body revisions of Austin / Morris, Walnut veneer dash with round instruments.
1300 from late 1967 takes over from 1100, four door is discontinued and power up to 65 bhp in April 1968, and all synchro box from summer 1968. Dropped in 1971.

Vanden Plas Princess 1100 / 1300 Second of the up market variants to be announced the Princess had a luxury interior, with Connolly hides and walnut veneers. The dash had round instruments and switch panels set in a veneered dash. Other luxury touches were veneered picnic tables in the seat backs. Mechanical spec was same as MG with twin carb 55 bhp 1098cc engine giving 85 mph top speed.
MkII from 1967 to 1968 has revised tail lamp treatment of Austin / Morris versions.
1300 from 1967 has 58 bhp 1275cc engine, and 1300 MkII from 1968 gets 68 bhp twin carb engine, or 60 bhp on autos. Continued after other 1300s were dropped and replaced in 1974 by the Allegro Vanden Plas.

Wolseley 1100 Launched in 1965 with exact mechanical spec as Austin / Morris 1100, as replacement for Wolseley 1500. Interior slightly better, with imitation wood veneer dash but still with strip speedo. Wolseley front end treatment and side chrome strips and usually two tone paint work.
1275 introduced in 1965 just before whole range is upgraded to 1300MkI.Dropped in 1973

Riley Kestrel Introduced in 1965 alongside the Wolseley version the Kestrel replaced the popular Riley 1.5. Engine was twin carb equipped as on the MG variant and gave 55 bhp and top speed of 88 mph. Dash is wood veneered and has round instruments including rev counter.
MkII gets body revisions of rest of range,1275 engine in summer 1967, and becomes 1300 MkI from autumn 1967.
1300 MkII from 1968 get 70 bhp and close ratio all synchro box.All Rileys dropped in 1969 from BMC range.
