About Classic Car Quest

Classic Car Quest is the brainchild of Jim Marland, who was until recently, owner and Managing Director of Proteus Cars Ltd, builders of highly respected replicas of the Jaguar C type, D type, XJ13 and Mercedes 300SLR.

In addition to building replicas, Jim has always been an enthusiastic restorer of cars and motorbikes, since buying his first car, a Morris Minor MM tourer from a scrap yard a week after his 17th birthday.

His restoration projects have won many concours prizes at National level, most recently winning "best overall" trophy with his 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider, at National Alfa Day.
