Reliant - GT and GTE

GT SE4a from 1966 is based on design exercise by Ogle design on Daimler SP250 chassis.
Fixed head coupe body has "three box" design with unusual pointed front end styling incorporating recessed twin headlamps.
Chassis is based on Sabre design and has 120 bhp Ford Zephyr Six engine.

From 1965 trailing arm rear suspension is fitted, and SE4b from 1966 gets stronger chassis, and Ford 146 bhp V6 engine, giving 120 mph top speed.
Steel disc wheels replace centre lock wires.

SE4c from 1967 is cheaper option with 121 bhp Ford 2.5 litre engine.

GTE SE5 from 1968 gets redesigned body with more conventional front end design and sports estate car bodywork with large glass tailgate, and folding rear seats.

SE5a from 1971gets redesigned dash, and reversing lights.

SE6 from 1975 is 4" longer and 3" wider. More space and luxury inside but extra weight effects performance and handling.

SE6a from 1979 gets body stiffening, and dual circuit brakes, and from December, 150 bhp Ford 2.8 litre V6 engine, and bib spoiler.

SE6b from 1982 gets galvanised chassis and stiffer body. Dropped in 1986 with no replacement.
